Ms. Amy Jackson has developed a wanderlust for travel, adventure, and photography over her thirty-two years. As a NW native, she accumulated enough rain to feed her sprouting mind before heading to the sun-soaked islands of Hawaii.
She then continued as an adventure tour guide, traveling extensively throughout North America. Her main duties were to cater to a diverse clientele of foreign folk, taking them on excursions in a big white van for weeks on end. The groups would mostly camp and she was the sole guide. Amy loved this life, and stayed on the road for many years before discovering the need to find another path.
Ms. Jackson attended the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA, where she graduated in June 2007. She currently works in NYC as a freelance photographer and photographic assistant, and has been known to work at various studios and rental houses throughout the city.
Her not-so-long-term goal is to run an expedition photography business, documenting others research projects, tourism stints, & general tomfoolery. Hopefully somewhere warm & friendly. In the meantime, she will continue to work hard & push forward in every creative way possible.
She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, with her impossibly feline-tastic cats, Calvin and Felix.
